1. Scope of application
This policy applies to the Zhixu official website, Windows desktop application, and services related to accounts, licenses, orders and redemptions. Third-party websites and services are governed by their own policies.
2. Information we process
Official website visit
The website currently uses no advertising trackers, behavioral analytics or non-essential cookies. For security and troubleshooting, standard server access logs record the IP address, request time, requested path, response status, referrer and browser user agent.
Account and Security
When registering or logging in, we process email addresses, password hashes, login and session state. Desktop applications can save recently used email addresses locally for easy login again; plain text passwords will not be saved locally.
Authorization and transaction records
When you query, redeem or purchase an authorization, we process account identification, plans, orders, redemption code usage results, authorization status, validity period, and operation records required to prevent abuse. After the payment function is officially opened, the settlement page will further explain the payment service provider and its processing information.
3. Purpose of processing
This information is used to create and protect accounts, verify software usage qualifications, complete orders or redemptions, synchronize authorization status, maintain website and service security, handle failures, and fulfill applicable legal requirements. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-site targeted advertising.
4. Local projects and creative content
Zhixu's stories, maps, relationships, view settings, and creative assets are saved by default in the local project folder of your choice and will not be automatically uploaded when using the desktop app. The Name Workshop and Inspiration Workshop run based on local rules and materials and do not rely on external AI services. Only when you actively use online functions that are clearly marked in the future, the corresponding page will separately explain the data flow.
5. Storage, Security and Retention
The official website is hosted on a server in Hong Kong. Access logs are rotated daily, typically retaining the current log and 14 rotating archives, and then automatically deleting them. Accounts, authorizations, orders and security records will be retained for as long as necessary to provide services, perform agreements, handle disputes and satisfy legal obligations. We use measures such as access control, password hashing, transmission encryption, and signed credentials to reduce the risk of information disclosure, tampering, or loss.
7. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law where you are located, you may have the right to request access to, correction, deletion or copying of personal information, to restrict or object to specific processing, to withdraw consent, or to lodge a complaint about processing. Some records may not be deleted immediately due to account security, authorization certification, transaction performance or legal obligations. Language preferences are only saved in the current browser and can be cleared at any time through the browser settings.
8. Minors
Zhixu is not specifically designed for children. Users who have not reached the age of independent consent in their location should use their accounts or paid services under the guidance and consent of their guardians. Once we discover that minors' information has been collected without proper authorization, we will deal with it in accordance with the law.
9. Policy updates and contact
We will update this policy when features, service providers or legal requirements change, and will provide reasonable notice of material changes. Before account and paid services open to the public, this page will identify the responsible legal entity and a verifiable channel for privacy requests. We will not invent an entity name, address or email in the meantime.
